Lunar Month's First Birthday Contest

Lunar Month's first birthday is coming up on February 15th, 2009, and I'm proud to have been on the internet for a year. In celebration of this, I've decided to hold a contest. I am hoping that I'll get enough applicants to hold the contest, so don't hesitate to apply :). The contest will only be going ahead if I get five or more applicants by the deadline.

For the contest, I would like participants to submit an avatar featuring a character or characters from any anime/manga series found on Lunar Month. There are, of course, a few rules for entering the contest, which you'll find below.

Rules
  • Each avatar must feature a character/characters from a series found on Lunar Month (ie. Avatar: The Last Airbender, Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, xxxHOLiC).
  • Each avatar must be 100x100.
  • You may enter if you do not have a site. However, if you do have a site, you must link back to http://lunar-month.karenai.net using the contest banner.
  • You must put the banner provided above on your website, and have it link back to http://lunar-month.karenai.net.
  • Absolutely no adult material, such as hentai, porn, etc. Entries with these contents will immediately be disqualified.
  • Each contestant may enter a minimum of one avatar, and a maximum of three avatars.
  • The secret word is symphonic. So that I can be sure you have read all of the rules, please enter this word in the secret word box.

  • If you are not already, you will have a choice of permanent affiliation or link exchange with Lunar Month.
  • Your name and entry permanently displayed on the winner's page.
  • Your site, name, and entry advertised on my domain, http://itazurana.net, until Lunar Month's next birthday.
  • The option of a permanent link exchange with my domain, http://itazurana.net.

Judging

Judging will take place after the deadline. Judging will be done by myself and a close friend of mine, and will be based on the quality of the avatar, and our personal preference. If a participant submits more than one avatar, the avatars will still be judged individually, and not as a group. However, a person is only allowed to have one place - first, second, or third. For example, if someone submits three avatars, they cannot place first, second AND third. They can only receive one place. I will choose their best avatar and judge it accordingly.

For the fan favourite award, after I have received all of the entries, I will place a poll on the entries page. Visitors can then vote for the fan favourite. They will vote for the participants, rather than the avatars. Just vote for the person who owns the avatar that you like the best. The person with the most votes will receive the fan favourite award. The fan votes will not affect the official judging.
